We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused person to join our team in the Till Department. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and is eager to provide excellent customer service.
Working Hours:
Saturdays: 8:45am – 5pm (4pm finish from 27th December until the end of February)
Sundays: 9:45am – 4pm
Bank Holidays: Required to work (with time and a half pay)
Key Responsibilities:
If successful, you will:
- Operate a till and handle customer transactions (full training provided)
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a friendly, professional attitude
- Work efficiently in a busy, fast-moving environment
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and vacuuming
- Be flexible and willing to support different areas of the garden centre as needed
- Carry out reasonable requests with enthusiasm and a team-focused mindset
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience using tills or intermediate computer skills
- Some retail experience is beneficial but not essential
- Strong people skills and a passion for customer service
- A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
